About the Role: As the Kitchen Manager and Chef you will be the in-house culinary authority. You will coordinate all aspects of the kitchen during operational hours, order and reorder food, ensure safety and licensing requirements are being met, ensure proper documentation of logs, design and make delicious pizza, wings, craft burgers, sliders, tacos, and more. You will lead a team that will prep and cook dishes that will delight our customers with their taste, presentation, and timely delivery. As a great kitchen manager, you are able to effectively train and coach others, communicate well, deftly move about the kitchen, and are a skilled multi-tasker. Your focus will be on the development and success of the frontline individuals in your care and their ability to be successful in their roles. Your approach to problems, your presence on the kitchen floor, your integrity, commitment to the brand, and your professional style ensure the kitchen is a safe and fun place where guests enjoy themselves and team members look forward to coming to work. Responsibilities:
- Managing inventory so that all necessary ingredients are stocked for service
- Hiring new staff and providing training to facilitate quick acclimation
- Streamlining the kitchen processes to maintain prompt service times
- Building sales with specials using on-hand ingredients
- Expanding our in-house dining, special event, catering, and to-go business
- Follow market changes in food prices and recommend price increases or other adjustments at Management meetings
- Working with the Management Team to develop and maintain the restaurant menu
- Develop and cost food offerings and specials
- Setting regular cleaning standards for the kitchen and verifying that staff is maintaining sanitation levels
- Creating schedules for all kitchen staff, provide shift-coverage when needed
- Tracking kitchen finances to identify areas of potential waste
- Submit orders and maintain kitchen organization
- Ensure all prep is done correctly and on time, that deliveries are received and processed
- Attend food expos and manage vendor relationships
- Keep records, including maintenance records, of all kitchen equipment
- Identify and address kitchen facilities issues or escalate to appropriate entity
- Work with the management team to hit budget and sales goals
- Cook on the line and ensure consistency and compliance with all standards
- Play a leading role in creating food specials, talking to customers, introducing new products, executing off-hours catering gigs, or other special events
- Guide company on food offerings at different locations; take the lead advising and executing on special food-centric events and offerings
Skills and Requirements:
- Proven experience as cook and manager
- Kitchen Administration skills
- NM Food Manager license
- Cool, calm temperament
- Experience costing food and menu development
- Proven experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
- Certification or experience in documentation of kitchen safety standards and other SOPs
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to lead and train a team
- Very good communication skills
- Excellent physical condition and stamina
- High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma from a culinary school desired
Note: This position requires relocation to Truth or Consequences New Mexico.

POSITION OVERVIEW
As our Front of House Lead, you'll be the cornerstone of our service operations, mastering and rotating through every customer-facing position—server, host, bartender, barback, and expediter—while simultaneously developing leadership capabilities and operational expertise.
This multifaceted role extends beyond routine service duties to encompass quality control, staff development, procedure documentation, special event coordination, and creative input on our food and beverage programs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operational Leadership: Direct front-of-house service delivery by rotating through critical positions, troubleshooting bottlenecks, and maintaining seamless guest experiences during high-volume periods
- Quality Assurance: Uphold and evolve our service standards, ensuring consistency across all guest touchpoints
- Team Development: Provide hands-on training, real-time coaching, and constructive feedback to elevate team performance
- Process Improvement: Document and optimize service procedures while implementing systems that enhance efficiency
- Project Ownership: Spearhead special initiatives including seasonal drink menu creation, theme nights, and community events
